Gnr. Edwin Parry, formerly of the Royal Artillery, served with No.6 Commando.

Gnr. Edwin Parry was reported as being Killed In Action (KIA) on 20th August 1944, aged 25 years.

He was the son of Lewis and Catherine Parry, of Pantygog, Pontycymmer, Glamorgan, and was laid to rest in Banneville-La-Campagne War Cemetery (Calvados, Normandy, France). XVI.D.14.

The inscription on his headstone reads:

‘At the going down of the Sun, And in the morning.  We will remember him.’
